SEAN "FUZZBALL" MADDEN was born in Jersey City, NJ, within the largest radio market in the United States. Sean grew up listening to all the major radio stations, and learned the techniques of the trade by calling many of the disc jockeys to discuss working in the industry at a very young age. He was fortunate to land his first job at the Number One rated radio station WHTZ "Z100" in New York City, just across the Hudson River.
While at the "Z" he started like many with the same desire, answering phones, which inspired him to continue and direct his love toward talk radio. He eventually landed a job screening calls on the popular show "LovePhones with Chris Jagger and Dr. Judy." After a few months, his talents were discovered and he was made Assistant Producer. When the show was syndicated with WestWood One in over 35 markets, he rose to the rank of Producer, Director, and on-air talent for the show. One of his proudest moments came when he brought the "LovePhones" ratings up one full point in the New York Arbitron book, and had the show at Number One in almost all its markets, including Detroit, Atlanta, and Cleveland.
Early in April 1998, he moved south to Dallas to reunite with Chris Jagger (now the host of the hit, nationally syndicated "Change of Heart" television program), and Houston and New York radio host Ryan Chase. The three teamed up on the air for the morning show at KDGE "The Edge". They had a great chemistry and FuzzBall was encouraged to branch out and get his own morning show.
FuzzBall attended the annual Morning Show Bootcamp in New Orleans, where he met Cara West. The two spent many hours talking about morning radio, focusing on new and improved ways to do the morning radio format.
