Apparatus and Officer Numbering System

Each department in the county is assigned a block of 20 numbers.
The first two numbers uniquely identify each department and is used for station identification.
The third number identifies the type of unit.

Other line officers can also be numbered with the system by using the station number followed by a letter.For example a lieutenant would be 99-L1, safety officer 99-S1.

Fire police officers use four digit numbers; 9901, 9902, 9903, etc.
